Is the event only for competitors?

No! SubiNats is a family friendly event for the Subaru community and all Subaru enthusiasts - competitors, spectators and volunteers alike.

Is it free to spectate? Is there a cost for entry?

SubiNats is free to spectate. There is no cost for spectator entry and plenty of free parking on site.

Can I show my everyday street car?

Yes, give it a wash and bring it along. Entry for the Roo Racing Show & Shine display can be found here.

Can I race my car even if I have no experience?

Yes you can, but you will need a Competition Licence available from Motorsport Australia. Entries for the GFB Supersprint can be found here.

Are there volunteer opportunities available?

Yes! As a 100% volunteer run event, we would love to receive help on the day from anyone who would like to get up close to the action. No experience is necessary and there are some great perks. Please register here to lend a hand.

Can I get a trade stand for my business and sell merchandise or products?

Yes, there are plenty of Trade Stand spaces available. There will be thousands of passing foot traffic, all avid Subaru enthusiasts. Please register here.

How much does it cost to enter?

There will be a wide variety of events going on during SubiNats, for all interests and budgets. Entry for the different events ranges from $10 to $395.

Is the event on at night as well?

Yes, SubiNats runs from 0730 to 2230. The Pro Speed IAG Roll Racing event is the highlight at night under lights. For more information click here.

Do I need a licence to participate in Roll Racing?

Yes, you will need a valid Motorsport Australia Speed licence OR AASA General Speed licence to participate in the Pro Speed IAG Roll Racing event. Further information and Supplementary Regulations will be updated on the event page.

Are passengers allowed in Roll Racing and do they need a helmet?

Yes, passengers may purchase a ticket on the Roll Racing event page and yes, all occupants of the vehicle will require a AS1698 or higher standard helmet and are required to wear enclosed footwear and ankle to wrist to neck non-flammable clothing.

How old do drivers and passengers need to be to participate in Roll Racing?

All drivers and passengers wishing to participate in the Pro Speed IAG Roll Racing must be 18 years or older.

What are the categories for the Show & Shine judging?

How can I get a passenger ride on the skid pan?

There will be skid pan passenger rides happening in as part of the Shotgun Shootout for participants over 12 years old. To prebook your ride, please click here.

Do I need to be part of a car club to enter events?

No, you don't need to be a member of a car club to enter events, however you must be a member of a car club to hold a valid Speed licence. Hosts Impreza WRX Club are offering a special SubiNats membership deal at the moment - 3 years membership for the price of 1 if you join the Club in the lead up to SubiNats. Simply join on their website and your additional 2 years will be added automatically.
