What is SubiNats?SubiNats hit the enthusiast market with a bang in 2014 at Wakefield Park to an overwhelming response. Another bumper year followed, after which the event moved to the popular Phillip Island circuit in Victoria for two wildly successful years, with each event attracting over 100 competitors and 450 spectators. In 2018, SubiNats moved to Sydney Motorsport Park and expanded to become a two-day event utilising the entire SMP facilities in various combinations throughout the event. This event was monumental, with approximately 500 entries received across the SuperSprint, Motorkhana and Show ‘n’ Shine events, as well as an estimated 2000 spectators, which helped to grow awareness of the SubiNats event within the wider Subaru community. 2019 saw the event return to Phillip Island for another fantastic weekend of competition. After unavoidable postponements in 2020 and 2021, 2022 saw competitors from all over Australia attend SMSP in what has now become the “must do” event for all Subaru enthusiasts nationwide. SubiNats '22 and '23 grew to take full advantage of the new lighting upgrade, providing 14 hours of competition and things to see in both daylight and under lights. Celebrating the 10th year since it's inception, SubiNats '24 was the most ambitious event yet, with over 300 cars on display and close to 400 cars participating in a sunset parade lap. With the event taking a break in 2025, the 2026 event is shaping up to come back bigger and better than ever, mixing things up and bringing the fans more of what they love.

SubiNats is a family friendly event for the Subaru community and all Subaru enthusiasts - competitors, spectators and volunteers alike. Is it free to spectate? Is there a cost for entry?SubiNats is free to spectate. There is no cost for spectator entry and plenty of free parking on site. Can I show my everyday street car?Yes, give it a wash and bring it along. Entry for the Roo Racing Show & Shine display can be found here. Can I race my car even if I have no experience?Yes you can, but you will need a Competition Licence available from Motorsport Australia. Entries for the GFB Supersprint can be found here. Are there volunteer opportunities available?Yes! As a 100% volunteer run event, we would love to receive help on the day from anyone who would like to get up close to the action. No experience is necessary and there are some great perks. Please register here to lend a hand. Can I get a trade stand for my business and sell merchandise or products?Yes, there are plenty of Trade Stand spaces available. There will be thousands of passing foot traffic, all avid Subaru enthusiasts. Please register here. How much does it cost to enter?There will be a wide variety of events going on during SubiNats, for all interests and budgets. Entry for the different events ranges from $10 to $395. Is the event on at night as well?Yes, SubiNats runs from 0730 to 2230. The Pro Speed IAG Roll Racing event is the highlight at night under lights. For more information click here. When do entries open?Entries are open now! Visit the Event Entry page. Do I need a licence to participate in Roll Racing?Yes, you will need a valid speed licence to participate in the Pro Speed IAG Roll Racing event. Further specific information about which licence you will require will be available soon and the Supplementary Regulations will be updated on the event page. Are passengers allowed in Roll Racing and do they need a helmet?Yes, passengers may purchase a ticket on the Roll Racing event page and yes, all occupants of the vehicle will require a AS1698 or higher standard helmet and are required to wear enclosed footwear and ankle to wrist to neck non-flammable clothing. Where can I find the Supersprint class rules?You can find the 2026 Supersprint rules here. Where do I lodge my class points declaration?The class points declaration form is completed online and can be accessed here. What are the categories for the Show & Shine judging?For all information about the Roo Racing Show & Shine, including judging categories, please click here. How can I get a passenger ride on the skid pan?There will be skid pan passenger rides happening in as part of the Shotgun Shootout for participants over 12 years old. Do I need to be part of a car club to enter events?No, you don't need to be a member of a car club to enter events, however you must be a member of a car club to hold a valid speed licence.
